Alexis mounted Scotty effortlessly, and fixed her stirrups from her spot in the saddle. Scotty stood still, slightly tired from the good half hour of lunging he’d just endured. Scotty took a lot of ground work, for other wards he was a total idiot. Alexis wore a silver tipperary sport helmet, a pair of dark tan breeches, a red V neck and tall black Ariat boots. She softly squeezed her calves around Scotty, and he moved into a forward and calm walk that made her dark brunette hair that was in a low ponytail sway softly.
Alexis cantered her dull dun Hanoverian stallion towards a 5’ purple and black oxer with white flowers underneath. Scotty cantered easily and when Alexis qued him he jumped over the jump easily, Alexis guessed by a good half a foot. He wasn’t over jumping but he was taking some precaution. She turned him towards a black and pink vertical with a bush with pink flowers underneath and together they soared over it. Alexis smiled and slowed him to a walk, giving him a loose rein. He took the time eagerly, wanting to catch his breath.
Alexis smiled, it was all so peaceful right now. No students, no teachers and even better no parents. Preparing for the parents was one thing that drove Alexis up the wall- how many questions could somebody ask about how good the education was here. Seriously, just go to the school site and READ she hadn’t spent a day making that one page for no reason. She looked out the side windows of the indoor arena, the leaves on the trees were still green and the air still smelled of the summer humidity. It was late August, so really it technically was still summer but Alexis referred to it as August for school was coming close. One student, Cameron, was already here. Alexis had been worried because her parents were so rich and snobby, but she was a good kid, She was a good rider too, especially on her appaloosa. It was nice to know that the school wouldn’t be filled with people who thought they were everything, there’d be at least one down to earth student and having one meant there’d probably be more. Alexis was hopeful, a lot of students that were coming had money- well their parents did. She smiled as Scotty shook his body to scare the flies. “Ready to keep going?” she asked him before pushing him into a forward trot. [/blockquote]
