As she galloped through the long trail, Jacky could feel her long silver mane slapping her neck. Her pink nostrils flared. A brown fence got bigger and bigger as she raced to it. Her silver-grayish coat gleamed in the setting sun. Five, then three, then one stride away from it. Then she took flight into the cold, dry, night air. The 6'7 foot jump meant nothing to her. Jacky had jumped higher than this before. Then, she heard her peach colored hooves hit the soft grass beneath her. The mare galloped into the unknown place she had just entered. She came to a halt to look around in this strange land. Her blue eyes flickered around to see where to escape. But Jacky was too tired to jump again. She'd been running all day, and wanted to rest. The mare frantically ran around the paddock, searching for an opening. But all she saw was a brown fence line keeping a few other horses from going anywhere. A look of sadness and defeat entered her eyes. The horses she saw were a bay stallion, a black gelding, and a few other mares. They all looked up at her from grazing, with calm expressions on their faces, and went back to eating. She trotted up quickly to the bay stallion. He gazed up at her, lifted his head up, and sniffed her. He whinnied happily and then walked away. She ran over to a strange thing she'd never seen before. it was a fairly large object, and it had other horses sleeping in it. She strolled over and into it. She curiously sniffed the bedding. As well as the other horses. The mare decided it was safe, and lay down. Then she fell into a deep sleep.
